Walmart shelves empty. | |

Last year, they remodelled and then went with a Dollar General look. This morning, only half stocked. Quoting: humbird I am thinking everyone should list everything they would buy in a year and get it right away. Then all we'll have left is Publix and walmart. Winn dixie wasn't really ever great with meat or prices. They do have pretty good deli/bakery stuff. Their bbq beans with pork is excellent. Publix hasn't made fresh bakery items in store for a long time. They warm up dough, that's about it. The rest comes from their factory in Lakeland. I'm not a fan of public. Wish we had Safeway down here. They tried it in Clearwater but it left for some reason. I know I liked the Safeway Publix took it over even when they had a Publix across the street, I told one of the managers it's like a monopoly now, and he laughed that that's what they wanted. Thought that was illegal. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 32257018 United States 07/13/2020 01:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Bikes have been out of stock everywhere since March. So has fitness equipment. People bored out of their minds and home buying it all up. Quoting: not-a-canadian Combined with the stimulus checks, they sold a lot more of that kind of merchandise past Christmas/New Years then they normally would have, probably 10x as much. China is producing and shipments are arriving, but people are still buying everything up. Although there are definitely still Covid-19 related factory shut downs and supply issues, there is still stuff coming in. Yep, people are buying bikes because they either want to exercise, or can't/won't go to a gym, or because they want to avoid public transportation. Exactly. All THREE. Gee, wouldn't it make good business sense to keep ordering more then? But that's not what's happening. These items are not being restocked at all. Supply lines of imported products are shutting down and looks like many already have shut down entirely. At this point, people are scavenging what's still left from previous shipments. The "reset" is underway, which is directly related to the dollar being dropped as world reserve trade currency unit. As for big box stores themselves, some good suggestions have been made in the thread regarding looting and even FEMA conversions, but the idea that shelves remain empty because people are buying, for example, 30 bikes a day is idiocy and is clearly just PR propaganda on your part. |

User ID: 79141939 United States 07/13/2020 01:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I placed 2 old 10 speed bikes in my yard last week and they sold in a day, 3 people wanted them. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78026219 Why are all the bikes gone and why does everyone want one. And fishing stuff? I’m guessing it is just the regular amount that would be sold around Father’s Day and Graduations. It is notable that there is no restocking going on. Second backlash / shortages are starting to appear. Even our shoelaces come from China. Stuff you’ve never thought twice about because you can get it easily and cheaply. 24/7 at big box stores. Do what you can, where you are, with what you have. —Teddy Roosevelt. |

Everybody is shopping including me, I don't usually buy stuff but I went and bought some girly stuff; dresses, barrettes, perfume, just to pump some money into the pot. The best part was I bought about 8 pairs of shoes, to be sure I had plenty for the next 5 years or so, just in case it gets really bad. I have all the clothes I would need now except Arctic level. It's heat I can't take, and I'm really concerned about the next 8 weeks. They could really do a lot of damage to us all if they pull another event. |

User ID: 76568830 United States 07/13/2020 02:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Same here in deep south Texas. The shelves are getting empty with no restock.... in the non-food sections. Then go online and try to order ...the same...."out of stock". Quoting: Yellow Bird in TX I guess China has cut off the US from everything. an example...and it is across the board in pretty much every store that would sell the product. My friend wants a convection over. Try finding one in my area now...there are none. I find it hard to believe that people are buying up all this stuff. My friend says she heard that the products are being removed and sent to other countries. We live in very strange and confusing times. Everything we were used to has now gone buy-bye. I am sure you can find these things on eBay, Amazon, CraigsList, from small sellers, used if need be. We're gonna be just fine! |

User ID: 78769062 United States 07/13/2020 02:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Academy Sports down in my area....looks like it is going out of business in some of their stores. I went into the Edinburg store the other day to buy a screen house....they didn't have any of any size or description. I went online and found one in Weslaco so I drove down there to get it. In the Edinburg store there were no bicyles either. What is the deal now with bicyles disappearing. I know dam well in my heart that there is no run on people here buying bicycles. So why are these items being pulled out of the stores. You know what? As powerful as tptb are etc....this could all be just part of the overall plan if one thinks more globally and in the bigger picture of things. Stuff is disappearing IMHO ..not being bought up. What's there plan and why? Where is the stuff going? |

User ID: 78320891 United States 07/13/2020 02:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Jersey Shore Walmart: Fitness section wiped out. No weights, exercise bands, or floor mats. The only thing left was weightlifting gloves. Camping gear thin but not out of stock. The candle shelves were virtually empty. Clothing section looked thinner than usual. Anything directly stocked by vendors seemed ok. Phil Murphy is a Marxist asshole. |

Not food but bicycles, fishing gear, clothes and a lot of other stuff. What are your Walmarts looking like? Quoting: StellaWayten Think about it ... Do you even feel confident buying anything Made in China anymore? If you think quality assurance was bad before the Tariffs and COVID-19, how much more so nowadays. There is most definitely a Cold War ongoing. I would have no confidence buying anything Made in China. I would especially have ZERO confidence in any mask made in China. That could prove to be life threatening. Time for Walmart to change suppliers especially to Made in USA. Last Edited by Deus Solus on 07/13/2020 02:18 PM |
