Walmart shelves empty.

It's happening all over. All stores like Marshall's and grocery stores are eerily sparce.

NE Minnesota: lots of empty shelves near the gardening section. Some empty shelves in the food/paper areas (TP, paper towel, etc.)

People are stocking up for Round 2.

Yeah he Houston area has some food chains moderately well stocked, and some moderately stocked, with smaller chains having frequent empty sections. Nobody has had rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide is spotty.

Hard to find 15 packs of Keystone Light anywhere.
No swimming pools or lawn chairs to find either. It's a white trash nightmare!

Recovery before second wave...

All stores in my area, including grocery stores:
cleaning supplies are hit and miss.
Still no lysol to be found.
Still very little flour, sugar, etc.
Canned goods, hit or miss.
No bicycles.
No deep freezers.
Very little guns and ammo.

What I think is the strangest thing is usually by now back to school supplies are busting out everywhere. Those items are tricking in, but not much. Makes me think they already are not planning on schools starting back.

I'm keeping my eye on a certain boot store. Waiting for a going out of business sale.

stock dollar store brands and charge the normal price.

Ghee is a good substitute.. and it makes the best grilled cheese...

Actually the schools will be closed because what just happened in Serbia will happen in North America. I'm going to enjoy watching politicians getting assaulted.

Notice how even though many politicians are holding "virtual meetings" nobody is getting any of their taxes back? Guess what happens with virtual school classes? Our taxes will go up.

My adult daughter wanted to get a bike so she could ride with her kids. Nothing in stores, nothing online. Fortunately I had an extra one to give her. But seriously, no bikes, anywhere.

here is a small list of things out in my area of WI usa -

Chicken wire 4" X 150" rolls only thing you can find are small 2" X 50" rolls that is the biggest ones left , Chest freezers, Walmart is out of Cake mixers , the only ones left are 50$ ones and those will be sold soon im sure - Post hole diggers post pounders . had to find some from the secondary market - If you had a chicken wire factory here in the usa you would be making bank - these are just some things i noticed recently -

I'm not even hungry anymore.

Used to be able to go to the store late at night or super early in the morning so I could concentrate. Can't do that because hours have changed even at 24 hr stores. No more. I go without to avoid the store all together.

The bikes have been missing a while here in IL, still no lysol, Clorox wipes have been mia since this shit started. I found a small container the other day. At work I can't find Sani Bleach Wipes or Germicidal Wipes. Toilet paper is on the shelves but the stock is really low.

Kinda what I was thinking. Take a full pallet of Lysol stuff back to the storeroom? I saw this, wish I got video but this happened. So many questions.

Please please. Grow ur own food. Ghey tube has great videos on getting started w/AT LEAST one 5gal bucket n two old taters= endless taters. It’s easy as fook. I’m the LAZIEST about the prospect of farming but imagine if soooo many people started local productive gardens WALMART N WAIF-FAIR N AMAZON ALL GO AWAY as people see a nitch locally that is a need n prefer in their respective areas/municipalities (<mini principalities)interpersonal trade is possible.

At the Krogers in Hurst, TX near FTW the store had almost everything,

there were some thin shelves but plenty to buy for now.

Home Depot and Walmart and Sams all in North Richland Hills also had the usual.


No one had sanitizers though to speak of.

Oddly enough there's been plenty of hand sanitizer around here. If I could get isopropyl alcohol...

It takes anywhere from 12-16 weeks for a container care freight ship to travel from Chins to the US ports. When China was effectively shut down and nothing was being produced and or shipped out, we are just now seeing the beginning of the shortages. I have been telling people that this will be sold off to us the consumers at an intense 2nd wave of the Covid-19 but will be in fact the real world effect of China being shut down for business. Make sure your are stocked up on goods now, it is about to get worse with a 3-4 month lull in goods produced

My Walmart is bursting at the seams

just like some of the spandex pants on the women there.

Firstly, it's a supply issue. China isn't sending as much, and likely won't for quite some time, due to: bilateral tensions and trade disagreements, their flooding, the "virus"...

Second, it's also a demand issue. People are stocking up and buying more of various things than they would have otherwise -- especially as people see rapidly-escalating prices and they want to buy before it gets more expensive.

So we have less coming in and it's being bought up more quickly.

As for the varying amounts of stock between cities and regions, I reckon that places the controllers wish to keep well-fed and happy are getting priority for restock; whereas the places they want to wither on the vine are lucky to get anything.

In any case, it's a game of musical chairs for the last remaining product in our warehouses, as global trade grinds to a halt and purchasing power declines.

I recommend getting what you need while you still can: electronics, clothes, tools, whatever (unless you think you can buy it used more cheaply later, as people liquidate to stay afloat).
