Fox 5 notes, however, that these grand jury subpoenas were
issued while the grand jury was suspended. The grand jury
“had been suspended on March 13 because of the COVID-19
pandemic.”


The issuing of grand jury subpoenas while there is no grand
jury could be “an ethical or possibly criminal issue,”
according to legal experts who spoke with the Fox 5.

Gable Cino, who is a law professor that specializes in
prosecutorial misconduct, told the outlet, “It would be a
violation of criminal law to make a knowingly false
statement or misrepresentation in the subpoena which is a
document that has been issued.”

GBI Director Vic Reynolds said that the department was aware
of the matter and apparently is looking into it.

GBI was already investigating Howard earlier this year
over a “mysterious salary supplement negotiated between
Howard and then Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed” that directed
$250,000 over a a 3-year period into a non-profit that was
run by the DA’s office, Fox 5 reports. Howard allegedly
took $140,000 from those funds to supplement his own
salary.

What would you have them do?

The videos from the lapel cameras and car all show the same situation.

The officers were polite and accommodating throughout the stop. When it became apparent he was going back to jail.

The deceased tried to escape. He didn't care about any one but himself. Ha attacked both officers driving them to the ground. At this time the deceased went for the officers weapons he was able to wrestle a taser away and immediately began trying to employ it against the officers. The deceased then got to his feet and attempted to flee, as he ran the deceased twisted around and attempted to fire at the pursuing officer. that officer returned fire killing the deceased.

The officers did everything they could to keep violence out of the handling of this case.

Now you want to prosecute them for defending themselves and their community from someone who decides he doesn't want to return to jail. Because he made that decision he is dead and the officers lives and careers are over.

They are sick psychotic criminals

We've been over and over this and it all boils down to a back shooting of a man for a very very minor offense.

In days past they'd have both been strung up by an angry mob.

Backshooting is always a dishonorable murder by the way self defense laws are worded. And you have to decide whether you think a taser is a deadly weapon and if you say it is, then start charging the thousand of cases by police using these devices to torture people to gain their compliance.

I doubt they will win but if they do kiss this country goodbye.

A taser is considered deadly. Officers can use them for compliance. Self defense is for a citizen on citizens not a criminal who committed a felony against an officer prior to fleeing, and only was shot when he attempted a third.
