People like this b**** is why elderly people are suffering during this

There is no reason to panic. Especially hoarding teepee what the f***

you can literally wipe your ass a thousand different ways safely. But people like this b**** are making it so elderly people can't get any

We are in the breadbasket of the world, there is no shortage of food

There is an abundance of people panicking making s*** hard

Good God you people are weak

There may not be a shortage of food, but there will be a shortage of truckers, trucks and other logistical stuff that makes it all work.

Plan ahead, do your prep.

I learned that while I had everything I planned for prepping-wise, I didn't give enough thought to how being isolated by myself in the house was going to affect me when I was used to being around a lot of people. I would go out for groceries even when I didn't need them - just to get out of the house and see other real faces.

I went through my old y2k supply boxes back in February. All the Dinty Moore beef stew was still good and never goes bad as long as the can is not damaged. Their web site confirms this. Spam all looked good but I would only eat it as a last resort. The nice things I stored like high grade manual can openers and radios are still like new.

Re: Here’s what 75 preppers learned during the lockdown.
Jesus Christ told us to prepare in Matthew 25 in the parable of the wise and foolish virgins. Jesus labels the foolish as "morai" which is the root for moron.

The whole point of prepping is to prepare for the tribulation disvussed in Matthew 24.

If you are just storing food and weapons just because, it serves no purpose without salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

I started mega prepping in Mid Feb. My hub told me I was crazy. I own a small cleaning service, so I purchased $400 worth of supplies. I also stocked food and essentials.

I thought my husband was going to flip out and divorce me. I've never seen him so angry.

Once we locked down and shelves were bare, he told me--

Omg I just got back to Walmart, and I am so happy you planned ahead. That was the smartest thing you've ever done.

I still have tons of cleaning supplies, I've gone to janitorial supplies and buy gallons of whatever I can find. Our local Walmart- and every other store is out of cleaning supplies and has been for five months. I get the feeling they may never return.

Because of this, I am actually turning away clients, because they can't find them, so they are calling pros to clean. Business is booming, but I fear the next shut down. I think it will likely come very soon.

Re: Here’s what 75 preppers learned during the lockdown.
Maya…

I had anticipated shortages like food, soap, TP, and PPEs, but I underestimated how short in supply durable consumer goods would be – like the fact that freezers would pretty much become extinct, all gardening supplies, etc. Luckily, I had stockpiled seeds (although this year I brought veggie starts because everything started late this year.) It took until June to get the raised bed kits (industrial area, it’s not safe to grow anything you want to eat in the ground). Canning jars have also become in short supply.

I anticipated has shortages, which did not take place – in fact, gas became dirt cheap with nobody able to go anywhere. I did fail to anticipate that the border would be closed for half a year! Living in a border city, I tend to rely on the much cheaper US prices for many things. I really should not have put off dentist and eye appointments, or a haircut! I will get that attended to before the next wave of contamination and lock-downs.

I am working now on beefing up food growing and preserving supplies. Desiccants, oxygen absorbers, Mylar bags, food grade buckets, canning lids, canning jars, and food saver bags are all likely to become harder to obtain as food prices rise and more people become aware of how to grow and preserve foods. I am also stocking up on organic fertilizers and indoor growing options. And sprouting seeds – I think I have at least 2 years’ worth of those.
 Quoting: Patagonians

You have the same system I use. You only need 1 years supply of canning jars, then get a ton of canning lids. Also, think about 10%-20% jar breakage and adjust your jar quantity. I have enough lids for 4 years assuming 1 quart jar per day per person...

Did you catch the cheap gas and store it. Got 50 gallons in storage at 99 cents per gallon...

I have a minimum of 3 months supply of food and canned veggies which I rotate. In a pinch could be stretched to 6 months. This does not include 2 freezers full of meat, fish, chicken, and blanched veggies. Buy meats on sale and then vacuum seal them and freeze them. They last many years and taste great...
 Quoting: DuckNCover

Hopefully you didn't get that shit e85 gas? Gasoline with ethanol is complete shit for storage and engines.

Better off going to an ethanol free gas station and paying more for quality octane gas.

Re: Here’s what 75 preppers learned during the lockdown.
With so much uncertainty, the smartest prepping would be buying inexpensive meat and canning it. Then dehydrating almost everything else to save shelf space. Doing those two things would greatly increase your security and save you money.

Freezers only work if there is power and a noisy generator when the power goes off, will then cause your neighbors to ask favors to save their freezers. You will run out of fuel.

It'squite difficult to cook without power, but if you had a summer kitchen outside, with a cob oven and a rocket stove, which are both very inexpensive when handmade, means you can cook outside.

For most people, it ain't perfect, but a sandpoint well means you have some "agricutural use" water. That can be purified for safety. A pedal powered pump then means you can water your garden when a drought may occur.

Cloches can greatly increase harvest yields and cost very little. Heck, my ancestors used cloches in the 1930s...and we have three growing seasons and mild winters.

I learned that a lot of people shut-down/melt-down and become like scared little kids when they think the shtf. I had inlaws crying and whining 'i dont know what to do' and that was from not being bale to buy TP and paper towles. Even people I knew as preppers jsut mentally collapsed, and this is a mild event. I learned a lot about people I thought were strong.

Jan 31st a certain astrologer put out a warning video and I headed for the Dollar Tree. Filled a cart with toilet paper and paper towels and a 32 oz anti bacterial soap for a buck.

Then over to Walmart. Looking at a ton of Chef Boy Ardee. 12 of them in a cardboard box. Jeepers should I buy this? Will anything really happen? thought about it and the 88 cent price convinced me to grab it. and so it went. 3 weeks later every chef boy ardee was cleaned out.

Making people go for toilet paper kept them from hoarding food. When they were out at the store they picked up some food but didn’t hoard it till much later. Toilet paper is something that panicking people could focus on and leave most of the food alone. Honestly it was a genius move by tptb. Not having having toilet paper will not kill someone. Not having enough food of course will. Now the toilet paper fiasco might happen again but smart people known to make sure they have enough food and tp before we are hit again.
