I am a flight attendant and have been working every week since this has begun. I have not got sick or seen anyone sick with symptoms on the plane. Only one flight attendant in my base in Houston got it .

500 Delta Airline Staff Test Positive for Coronavirus, 10 Dead

Hundreds of staff at Delta Air Lines have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Ten workers have died after contracting the virus, the company confirmed.

According to a transcript of the company's latest shareholders meeting held on a phone conference June 18, Delta's Chief Executive Officer Ed Bastian said: "We have had approximately 500 employees that have tested positive for COVID-19. The vast majority have recovered, thankfully. Unfortunately, we have lost 10 employees to the disease."

American and United Airlines Both Lose Employees to Coronavirus in Same Week

Both American and United Airlines lost employees this week due to complications from the coronavirus.

American Airlines flight attendants received the news of the death of their colleague — Paul Frishkorn — on Thursday evening in a joint letter from the airline’s senior VP of flight service and presidents of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA).

The 65-year-old Philadelphia-based flight attendant had worked with American Airlines since 1997. He had been twice honored as one of the airline’s Flight Service Champions for excellent customer service. He was also a union representative with the APFA.

“Our hearts go out to Paul’s loved ones, many of whom work for American,” the airline said in a statement to Travel + Leisure. “He will be missed by the customers he cared for and everyone at American who worked with him.”

Yeah I’ve heard similar. I took my daughter, reluctantly, to the ER last night because we thought she might have appendicitis. Low fever at home but no fever at the hospital. Localized lower right abdominal pain. They did bloodwork and she had normal WBC but elevated eosinophils. They did a CT which came back totally normal. So when talking about discharge the doctor asked if she wanted to get a COVID test just to be safe. No Covid symptoms. No fever at the hospital. Her O2 was very omg between 99 and 100 even though she was wearing an N95 the whole time (5 hours straight that we were in the damned ER). There was no way on Earth she had the Chinese virus but the fucking doctor still tried to get us to have her tested. I said no she doesn’t need that. Thanks anyway.

Also, when other people in the ER started leaving their rooms, ducking hospital staff started yelling at them to get back in their rooms saying shut like “you want to get Covid and wind up on a vent?” Holy shit!

Yeah that may be a factor. My sister is a BA puser and the flight attendants get flu jabs. That said they have hardly been flying of late but i believe it is picking back up. Not sure if she knows anyone that's had it though?

A few Nepali airlines pilots have had it after these repatriation flights ongoing now. The gov't have said the number off infections in returnees to Nepal is very high. Most are coming from the middle east which is full of it supposedly?

My mum wants me to go to UK with my daughter as soon as travel is allowed but i am worried about the middle east transit part.
I dunno what to believe with it all atm. I believe it is a real virus but the craziness around it is beyond comprehension and i don't want to risk my little girls health nor pick it up and take it back to my elderly parents so i am a bit torn tbf.
