He had studied classical guitar in college. Unbelievable how wonderful the music was. He lost his way long before his death - not sure why. I have no words, so I'll just pray that God would bless & comfort you & your family... your posts have offered help for a long time, anything kidney related. his GFR went from 15 to 17 just last week. he hated dialysis with a passion. That is why we tried peritoneal, but his body just absorbed the dialysate. you are in my thoughts all the time. We talked about you. Can't look at baking soda an NOT be glad it is helping you! Our condolences are with you my friend, and we will keep you in our prayers. he had no diabetes or hypertension, the things that often damage kidneys over time. we went from Fresenius to DaVita, due to a move. So glad he got to be in an area he found so beautiful. Since you and Dakota are in this, let me tell you DaVita is NOTHING like Fresenius. one is upscale looking, DaVita is like a downtown bus depot or the YMCA in a seedy area. But who cares? I just discovered this thread this morning and after only reading for a few minutes I was reminded how strange this life journey can be, for all of us. When we are children we always try to be older than our age, if we are 6 we tell people I'm 6 1/2.....we are in such a hurry to grow up... Then, once we do and especially as we grow older and think back to those wonderful early years of life we long for their return. Sadly, we can never go back. I'm not really sure the point of my sharing these thoughts with you but they are just whats in my head as I think about you and the pain you have to be feeling at this loss of your life love. We can't replace our childhoods and we can't replace the loves of our life but I guess the point is, we still go on, we still try to find happiness in the moments life allows, damned by this thing called time, the clock always ticking, the sand always leaving the hour glass BUT ultimately we strive to hold onto every moment and memory, Why? Because obviously, deep down we all realize just how precious this thing called life really is. May God's full love be with you and I will just finish by saying I'm so sorry for your loss but I'm also happy that you were able to have a love in your life worth remembering and cherishing.
