But when I see an outpouring of the magnitude that this wild west gunslinger place, brings to you in your hours of sorrow, I know that it isn't without good reason.

Clearly you're admired by many. I hope that your heart can heal quickly, using loving memories as medication, and the prayers of your GLP supporters will promote a soothing and healing transition in the days ahead.

his GFR was getting above the level where dialysis is needed. Mathetes knew something about that dance, too.

sorry not clear...

the initial kidney injury was last November.

a bleeding ulcer (most likely caused or made worse by a new drug he was on) led to huge blood loss.

The kidneys were starved for blood. Other factors played a role, but this caused the real trouble.

was in ICU for weeks and weeks. many do not survive acute Kidney injury.

more hospital weeks and a time in rehab. I took over as soon as I could, he had lost the ability to talk from vocal cord injury during his first intubation.

could not walk or talk, had to start going to dialysis, therapy at home ALL the time. every therapy you can think of.

It worked. Voice understandable, regained ability to walk .
unaided last few months. Was hoping for more progress.
