Please don't confuse people. The virus size according to "experts" is .1 micron while an N95 or even an N100 mask only effectively filters down to .3 micron, so Covid is three times smaller.

A better, more honest analogy is...it's like throwing stones through a fence. Very few will be stopped, if any.

Point is there is more hard that can come from wearing the best of masks than any good that comes from it, and they give a false sense of security.

Besides, we should be supportive of people's freedom to choose to wear a mask or not, regardless of its effectiveness. If masks worked, what difference does it make if I wear one or not. It wouldn't.

I need to add on the cellular level especially in older people , the cells can get very hypoxic ! From the masks : Causing all kinds of cytokines and free radicals to be produced. Leading to cell death , white cell and platelet activation ...... ( faster aging more wrinkles and saggy skin )

I inherited my grandmother's sewing machine, so I did some mask making research. I am making the University of Florida's prototype 2 fit tested Fitted Mask, using either Pellon's non-woven polypropylene medium weight interfacing, or Halyard A600, the blue non-woven polypropylene "fabric" used to wrap surgical tools in the autoclave ovens. Either the Blue Halyard by itself or for fun designer stuff, like paw prints or Mickey Mouse for my sister who works in a nursing home, I fuse a piece to a cotton front and to a cotton back, sew it together with ties or elastic.

I have had two direct exposures and kept my mask on, while they did not, and have tested negative both times. I also wear it to the gym...which the bastard Newswomen closed today. I have spent about $400 of my money materiasl and that is what I am doing now for family and friends...making masks that actually do something. How selfish, to protect yourself!
