Actually, people are leaving ancient organized religion in droves. Older people are the diehards of religion. They are dying off too. Many religious buildings are having "accidental" and vandalism type fires.

The insurance is worth more the then building are. The religious buildings are not being replace with worship centers. In most cases the land is left barren or redeveloped into something else.

No big deal. Religious communities are having to downsize anyways. This is not a threat or have anything to do with communism. People are just not interested in spiritual myths and religious control in their lives that serves no purpose of a guaranteed after life.
