I guess my own thinking on it as a 9 year old was that the gravity of the moon would naturally straighten out the fall of the meteor by the time it hit, since gravity effect increases with proximity. But now reconsidering, the poster raises a good point. The answer that craters are not craters is likely true since the moon is likely a projection-- but in the context of the original model, how would a orbital-moon-theory guy explain round craters?
