They've set a trial for a year from now! I'm sure they're planning on cutting a deal so are buying time but since she hasn't been convicted of anything, no bail and sitting in jail is wrong for her as anyone else.

Her lawyer mentioned a luxury hotel so they could have come to agreement of bail under house arrest, with guards, paid for by her. The whole thing is being influenced by the fact that her case is so high profile which is not fair to her as the accused. We have to guard the rights of everyone to guard our own.

Bail is not a constitutional right, well that is what the supreme court ruled anyways.

And the "no bail" exists exactly for these types of crimes as well, "serial sexual assaults" which she's also been charged with, and not only murder cases

What is a constitutional right though is the right to a speedy trial, and I believe that 1 year waiting time until trial is unconstitutional imo.

The no bail is absolutely the right decision, 1 year until trial is way too much, especially given what "happened" to her partner in crime
