The tradition is to allow enemy soldiers to be buried on our soil and their graves marked, but not to honor them in any way. This includes the south. I dont think anyone is suggesting exhuming them either.
The problem is not the memorials so much as the attempt to make treason seem honorable by placing statues or obelisks to honor them. This is just wrong, it's no different than putting a statue of Mao Se Dong in central park.

It's not just the slavery issue because the emancipation proclamation didnt even happen until late in the war, but if you knew the truth you would realize over 95% of the whites in the south were dirt poor during the confederacy and many not as well off as slaves. Their descendants have evolved into white supremacists who blame blacks for their being loosers. I actually have a history degree and am a historian of civil war history And 95% of southern whites were not dirt poor. That was about 10% who were poor and lived in backwood shacks and off the land The largest percentage of southern whites at 65% were single-family Farmers without slaves Then you also know how the southern women went out to collect all their dead soldiers to bring them home to bury them. That is what this bitch warren doesn't know or care about. WOMEN did this.The north had federal aid and basically spit on the south. May Dixie rise again
