Same in Oklahoma. It's like all of a sudden your eyes snap shut involuntarily.

Re: North Georgia - Sudden and intense drowsiness occurring simultaneously non-localized
Hi I am in the north Georgia area about 30 minutes north of Atlanta off of Interstate 575.

I was 100% aware and was playing a video game and was wide awake due to a wonderful nights worth of sleep last night. All of a sudden I had a wave of profound sleepyness envelop me to the extent that I could barely keep my eyes open.

I am not on any drugs nor do I have medical conditions such as narcolepsy or diabetes.

HERE IS WHERE IT GETS WIERD GUYS!

The spell of sleepiness akin to fading out on a strong opiod wore off just as quick as it came on. I went into a family member's room to check on her as she had just been released from hospital.
While making conversation I explained how odd that was, and how nothing like that ever happens to me. She said that the EXACT same thing just happened to her, and that it suddenly went away too!

Shortly after my father called me, and told me of the same exact occurrence without me even having a chance to explain the happenings at our home.

To clarify again this was not just feeling slightly sleepy... but so sleepy that the eyes were hardly able to keep open, and this all happened at the same time. He was a mile and a half away.

Government putting something other than fluoride in the water? Aliens directing sleep rays at city? Some blackbook DARPA research project in which we were the research subjects?

ANYONE IN THE NORTH GEORGIA EXPERIENCE THIS OR SOMETHING SIMILAR TODAY AROUND 1-3 P.M. ? Please share if you or someone you know experienced this very VERY odd 'coincidence'

Any and all input or theories as well as similar experiences are extremely appreciated as I would like to understand what exactly this happening was! As it certainly was not ordinary, and happened non-localized.

This happened to me and my wife about 10 years ago. It happened about 10 at night but this is the odd part for me, I was working steady night shifts and this was my first night off and never went to bed before 3 or 4 am.
The next morning my wife told me she had a very lucid dream of aliens being in the bedroom..

Hubby came home from work and was saying he could hardly keep his eyes open and how tired he was. He blamed the heat for draining his energy. He fell asleep while watching television. I had to wake him up. He went to bed an hour earlier than usual even though, he normally keeps a pretty predictable sleep schedule. I'm south of Atlanta.

Am bumping to follow-up on later. Have had this happen to me a couple of times in the past few wks for no explicable reason but I'm in central NC. Just chalked it up to heat/humidity.

The same happened to me around 4:30pm ET. It's rare to have that profound sleepiness come on. I was out and about and it came on so strongly I felt almost completely knocked out for 20 mins

That happened to me tonight during Brian Kilmeade's show (sitting in for Tucker). Which is unusual as I usually fall asleep during Hannity.

Would a type of localized EMP do that? I remember years ago, a friend of mine was traveling up in the hills, north of Georgia I think, in a very small town, and he had super weird experience where all street lights went out and cars stopped and no one could drive or anything for just a few minutes, and when it all came back up they spotted a military vehicle so they followed it as far as they could, but then it went off road into the woods.

Maybe they're spraying us with sedatives. Nothing would surprise me anymore.

It's gotten chilly here in Metrowest Boston tonight - in the low 60s now, might get into the 50s. It's like a 20+ degree drop. Makes me wonder if summer is over.

Don't know if the rest of you see this but I think the season's are off by 4-6 weeks. Each season ends 4-6 weeks sooner than before and the next season starts. I've thought this for the past few years.
