Hiya, 630! I think mostly is because, well, people just don’t THINK. They don’t research or question and just rely on the idiot box. It also doesn’t help that the Constitution and civics is no longer taught in the school systems. It used to be my favorite subjects in high school.

Trump signaled the other day on his twitter to wear masks.

I couldn't figure it out until someone said, "That is the only way people can still vote at the polls and avoid the "vote by mail" fraud!

You beat me to this post, I was about to say that pretty much word for word.

I was upset by that, too but am holding out to see what POTUS’s real intention is. He’s the master of set-up and rope-a-dope. Things are beginning to go awry with the DS’s plandemic lately so my opinion is that our President has a plan to expose the damn thing sky-high soon because he wants those schools open. Not to mention he is beginning to do Kung flu pressers again today. Perhaps he will eventually expose weasel Fauci using this venue at some point.

Again, many of us know this. To those who don’t, the petition serves as a means of awareness and discussion.

Anyone who is aware that they might have Covid19 and doesn't wear a mask should be considered a terrorist.

The masks are to protect the people around you, not the one wearing the mask.

People should choose their fights more carefully and not be so worried about wearing a mask for a few months.

Serious question - If we all comply, do you really think it will stop with just this? Do you really think the mask compliance is about keeping everyone “safe”?

We’ve been allowing things to go down a slippery slope for decades. This is what we get for it. We either live by the Constitution, or we lose it.

Read the thread. This has been addressed over and over. Try telling a store that it’s unlawful to make anyone wear a mask and see how far that gets you - especially in democrat run states. Are you prepared to argue with them when they deny you service? Are you willing and can afford to sue them when they still deny you service?

Will this spectacular stupidity never cease? Even if Trump were to sign such an order, which he won't, it would have NO EFFECT. Here's why: A city, for example, can pass an ordinance making mask wearing mandatory. If someone receives a citation under that ordinance, they are free to challenge it under any applicable legal theory. Do you think Trump can just issue an order making all speeding ordinances unlawful? Spoiler alert:He cannot. Remember, despite what some of the wingnut crowd would like to believe, Trump is not a king.
It sounds like some of you may be happier in countries that have such systems. China and Russia come to mind. Have a nice trip.

Fortunately we live in a Country where the President can't make such a law. We have lawmakers do that - at a place called Congress.
