Quoting: pool This is gonna be bad. Except these kids are still playing with their friends and going to child care to associate other kids from multiple communities instead... closing schools makes zero logical sense. |

User ID: 77839413 United States 07/16/2020 10:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | yeah no kids in the entire nation are dying of covid Quoting: Jake no reason for schools to be closed. That's bullshit before you even consider how many teachers could die or how many family members could get sick when the kids come home from school. But we wouldn't want to let science and facts get in the way of that. Covid is FAKE! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78686355 07/16/2020 10:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Across the United States, 29 people under the age of 14 and 142 people between the ages of 15 and 24 have died after contracting the coronavirus. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78134183 This does not consider the seriously ill children who will suffer lasting cardiovascular damage, nor does it consider children who become infected and spread the virus to teachers and their families. [link to www.statesman.com (secure)] They died WITH a corona virus, not OF. There is still no proof there is a Covid 19. I can't be convinced of that. I still believe there is another pathogen out there they are NOT TELLING US about, and many Doctors concur with that. Every year, dozens of children and adults die as a result of a COMPLICATION of a flu or cold. One of the more common complications is acute sinusitis, brought on by not knowing how to self care in the first place and nurse the cold properly. What happens is poor ignorant people let it go, then a cold becomes a sinus infection in the third to forth week, because they don't know to eat right, take hot showers, soak in hot baths, rinse out the sinuses, take extreme C and vitamin doses, etc. At that point they need an anti biotic but an ignorant person will continue to avoid a clinic not knowing. By the time they have an acute infection in the ER they are hours from death. Once that hits the brain, you're gone. You died of acute sinusitis infection. Then they test for Covid 19. Many flus are covids, and I still see no definitive evidence they isolated a 19. |

Only here in the US where the lunatics on the left are screeching to keep as much disruption as possible is it even an issue. Because, you know, Orange man bad. Still voting for Trump. |

"Science should not stand in the way" implies that science is irrelevant to reopening. This post wants people to think the 2nd statement was made, but it was the first statement that was said. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78979505 Australia 07/16/2020 10:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ours have been mostly open, apart from the full 6 wk shutdown, which worked well. Victoria is currently starting shutdown again. Most schools shut there. These days, outside vic, schools are often closed for days for deep cleaning, everytime an infection is detected. Some have gone full remote, some haven't seen a case. Anywhere populated have seen spread. An infected kid spreads it to other kids and teachers. They all take it home and spread it to their families. Its where efficient contact tracing is essential. So zero to a handful of traceable cases and a proficient contact tracing system is essential, or opening schools will just lead to the kknd of spread that shuts everything down again, for longer. We have had just under 110 fatalities in total at this point. |
