Sometimes when I walk up to my airconditioner it is playing music

I didn't used to hear it. I remember distinctly that I got sick and then I started hearing it.

I found out it was a type of fungus that moves through the lymph nodes and settles into the brain as dimorphic fungi.

You're right..my comment was more geared to another topic. I am aware that cochlea and the 8th nerve that serves it are very frequency specific and the very much attuned to sound. What could be happening is the brain is receiving a mixed signal and attempts to fill in the gaps. Kinda like when we see faces in objects that aren't there.

The same phenomenon is 'hearing voices' as 'hearing music' that isn't there.

It's actually computerized sounding. It doesn't sound 100% natural.

I had an old computer tower during the very late 1990s into the early 2000s that sounded like it was picking up conversations that were in a foreign language. Super strange and I was unable to ever figure it out. I made others listen and they heard it as well.
