I cannot disagree at all with your evaluation of the church in general drifting off its moorings. A hundred years ago Revelation was taught just like other books, there was none of this "symbolic" misinterpretation of all those things in the Bible that were not "modern". The church has by and large become an empty shell with social justice, Marxist teachings rattling around inside. This is not new. I left my church (mainstream Protestant) 40 years ago when it sent one of our ministers to Nicaragua on a fact finding mission (paid for by the Communists) and he came back telling us all about how great the communists were. That was about the time that big city church pastors were marching with the abortionists and selling murder as a kindness and a right to women.

How could the prophetic teachings of another spiritual level survive being trampled and scorned like this by the atheist socialists?

All one has to do is read The Revelations a couple of times and you will see specific exact and detailed descriptions of current phenomena. It is way too bad that the last word in the Bible has been tossed aside and ignored.

You know of course that not only Christianity teaches about Heaven and Hell, and that they exist in other religions too?

For example, the Narakas of Buddhism and Jainism.

According to the latest survey that I could find, seventy-five percent of people living in America believe in hell. They believe there’s a hell. That’s the influence of Christianity, 75 percent. Of those 75 percent, four percent believe there is any chance that they will ever go there. So we’ve gotten our point across. There is a hell. But we haven’t gotten the point across that you’re headed there already. That’s the issue."
