Im in central MN and has been hotter than hell for 4 weeks already, and barely any rain. Even the massive thunderstorms announced on the evening news don't last more than 15min and pretty much evaporate before hitting the ground. And it;s also muggy, so humid you get soaking wet in 10min outside. I've lived here for 20+ years and I don't remember it being so hot for so long so consistently. We usually get 1 week like this in August but this started in June.
And there you see the idiots wearing a hot mask outside in a 107F heat index

Yep, it is way more intense- no birds, not nothing mid-day here in Oregon- none of the houses more than a few years old have AC in them because you never used to not need it here (maybe wish you had it for like a week or so in the heat of summer, not ALL day every day like now. we just had a new unit installed last year after the other one fried- thing can't keep-up-

I put a meat thermometer in the direct sun because the outdoor one maxes out at 125- it has been getting up to 150 (with a reported (and shade temp) of 90-95' a 60 deg, difference! There is little empirical data on how much hotter say, 'metal' gets in the direct mid-day sun (likely due to so many contingent factors: material, color, wind, proximity to the equator, etc.) in relation to ambient temp- the Pacific Union railroad has a standard they have used for like 70 years that you add 30 degrees to the ambient temp. to predict track temps for direct sunlight (for warping and stuff). So TWICE that.- feels like freaking Mercury out there/ 60 deg. difference between shade and direct sun.

I have spent a good portion of my life outside, all over the world- working, playing, training... something is most definitely very wrong (weak magnetosphere?)

Ha! I know the feeling! Things have changed beyond beyond. And to think of all the past doom predictions here. Nobody ever predicted heat waves and face mask hell. Or especially not doom hitting us domestically, forcing us all to shelter in place. Most glpers had visions of bugging out to off grid locations with generators and stashes of booze and pot! Panic sex! Not body condoms! It is ironic that we’re all stuck in our own homes and life outside has pretty much come to a grinding halt.

One thing I keep encountering in my web surfing is advice to “go within yourself.” So I’m trying that. I think it’s true that it builds strength.

It's also been a lot windier than normal for summer.

The trees have been dying for the last few years it started with the pines. That is our oxygen exchanger in the fall/winter mostly until the spring/summer trees come online. Well this year if you look around not only many pines are dead if you try hard to only find dead summer trees by looking for he brown trunk and branches with no leaves you will see you can't go a block without one to ten dead summer or winter tree or both.

This covid shit started after trees started hibernating in fall and we only had pines which are almost all dead to help us have oxygen.

This corona shit cause people to DIE for HIGH ALTITUDE OXYGEN DEPRIVATION SYNDROME which is what happens at 30,000 feet and up in jets when the cabin pressure drops and masks come out. WE ARE ON THE FUCKING GROUND.

Where are all the ARBORISTS to tell the world and trump some of this IS THE TREES dying and we are going to have if we are lucky 2-5 years left before they are all dead.

The summer tree trunks and branches look healthy but they never budded or got leaves and the odd thing is around them and exending out a little ways from each one the GRASS is green as hell while the rest of the grass is shit brown burnt out. IT is like the tree tried the last of it's life giving ability to the grass nearest it this is FUCKED UP NOBODY IS NOTICING THIS.
