Still pretty cool in '81. Not as wild about most 80's TD but early on it was still the golden age of analog synths.

Long before I knew what smoking joints was for or what kind of music TD made there was a Detroit rock radio DJ opining about how The Dark Side Of The Moon must hold the record for most joints rolled on the album cover. With a knowing chuckle he quipped "...except maybe Phaedra by Tangerine Dream..."

Not rare compared to other TD albums but still a super album; I give you 5 stars for liking TD!

Klaus is also 5 stars!

When I found Green Desert it was like Whoah a 70's* studio album I haven't heard! So it's rare to me I guess. I'm sure not to a real fanatic that's been collecting TD records for decades.

I have a budding collection of TD LPs I will expand on in the future: Alpha Centauri, Zeit, Atem, Phaedra, Stratosphere and Cyclone. I think that's all I have. Definitely been getting into all the 70's/early 80's albums and concerts I can find on utoob. Force Majeure has been in heavy rotation lately. Got the bug pretty bad: most every day has some if not a lot of TD in it these days.

Force Majeure sounds so late 70's state of the art electronica. They really knew what they were doing by that time I think.



First time listening to this one. The phasing absolutely is velvety on the second track. Rich sounds from the golden age.

Kitaro was my early years meditation music

I like some of the spacey early Kitaro. Definitely remember hearing some mind-blowing laser synth shit on headphones back in the day.

Not my cup of tea, but rock on.

the best work from Klaus Schulze, in my opinion, is the double set of live recordings from the royal festival hall (united kingdom), from the mid nineties.
