H.R.5717 proposes 30% tax on firearms and 50% tax on ammunition
wtf

THE QUESTION:

Does HR5717 propose new taxes on guns and ammunition while also requiring licenses for all gun owners?

THE ANSWER:

Yes. As it’s currently written - the bill does put a 30% tax on future firearm purchases and a 50% tax on future ammo purchases. It would also make it illegal for anyone to purchase or own a firearm without a federal or state license.

More bullshit to make it far harder and more expensive for law abiding citizens and legal owners of firearms to own and purchase firearms and ammo.

This shit needs to be squashed completely. Definitely far past sick of the unconstitutional shit they try to pass and push.

My personal thoughts & posts are mine alone.
I Love God, Jesus, good people, and the U.S.A. the way the Framers signed the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
In my real world life I don't have a problem with standing up to those with solid evidence of corruption from either side, of any issue or place. Many are they in this world that need to be rooted out.
That makes me a target to be destroyed by very powerful people, I understand this.
At some point we have to stand up for what is right before God. I have done this, lived this way, and will continue to do so till they finish me off or I croak of natural causes.

Re: H.R.5717 proposes 30% tax on firearms and 50% tax on ammunition
The Twenty-fourth Amendment (Amendment XXIV) of the United States Constitution prohibits both Congress and the states from conditioning the right to vote in federal elections on payment of a poll tax or other types of tax. The amendment was proposed by Congress to the states on August 27, 1962, and was ratified by the states on January 23, 1964.

H.R. 5717 proposal for 30% tax on a firearms and 50% ammunition is no different than a poll tax. The spirit of such punitive taxes upon rights is unconstitutional. Government is prohibited in doing this. A prohibitive tax upon the poor, infringing the second amendment by monetary penalty is blatantly unlawful IMO.

No!

Guillotines must be destroyed

During the French Revolution they started looping off heads ... and never knew how to stop... even killing those that started the practice...

The gov can only tax and regulate what's theirs(or what they have control over thru agreements).
If you are a gunsmith, you own it. It's not personal property, it's private property.
That's why the gov hates 3D printed guns. It's your creation, you own it, you control it.

The excessive tax challenge has gone before SCOTUS
before and been declared unconstitutional.

They do have Roberts in their pocket so things might
be different now.
