Australia had an industry that made our own, but it got moved to china letting them make it. Australia made a huge mistake when it got rid of the F1-11 Australia should manufactory that plane and build it here. it was a deterrent. better than missils we need to have an industrial base that can fill the gaps. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78983708 not everybody lives in a 400km by 200km country! thats just a medium size cattle station over here! anyhow the idea is to sink ships. so of course that is enough range. That's what I meant, neighbouring farmer, cattle station etc. Anyways what ships is there to sink? Indos? Their fishing boats will sink before hitting NT shores. No one is coming to Oz, they either can't be fucked or too incompetent to make it all the way. |

That means... they are thinking along the lines of a nuclear deterrent. They can't have nuclear deterrent, that would cause proliferation. Same reason Japan or South Korea or Germany or Taiwan, Switzerland or any other random country can't develop nukes. Same reason Iran and North Korea are under somuch pressure. |
