Most of where minorities and white trash people live are food deserts ... they can't get proper groceries without driving (or taking a bus). If you don't have a car ... ever tried to take a whole grocery order on a bus?

But there's "food" at the corner/liquor store/gas station.

The women were fat because they didn't do much field work. The men were burly and muscular due to working in the field all day, so of course they would be big but in shape

Nowadays they live a sedentary lifestyle and eat fast food every day, so they're fat and not in shape. Notice how I'm not arguing with that. It's just the perfect storm of that lazy sedentary lifestyle PLUS the DNA they've inherited from selective breeding back during slavery

The reason there are food deserts is the same reason banks won't set up branches in poor neighborhoods. Poor people haven't much money and not enough to warrant the cost of doing business in high crime poor neighborhoods. Imagine running a supermarket where there is a lot of shop lifting going on and poor people who don't spend enough money in the store to make it worth your while to do business there and recoup the cost of all the shop lifting going on. Add in race riots every time one of these little shoplifting darlings gets their ass shot or beat by the cops and it would be enough to discourage most businesses from wanting to locate to these poor neighborhoods.

People are fat because they eat the wrong things (processed carb diet) and it leads to hormonal imbalance, which in turn makes it very easy to gain fat and very difficult to lose it. Poor blacks - many without cars - shop at places like Dollar General, where all they get is processed crap because little nutritious food is sold there. But it's not just blacks, processed crap tends to be tasty, so there are plenty of whites and Hispanics that eat it, too, and plenty of whites and Hispanics are porky as a result.
