I talked to HR and brought that up. I refuse the mask based on it being against my religious beliefs - and they left it at that.

And that wasn't lying just to get out of it. I wouldn't throw away my job if I didn't believe my convictions mattered more. They backed off once they heard that, because they understand they are playing with someone who understands what religious discrimination is and how messy that can get.

OSHA made it air tight. They brought science to a point, only to abandon it once it has converted enough believers into it as a faith based belief system - a religion. They pretend masks aren't religious. I called them on it in HR and told them masks are used by muslims for exclusively religious reasons - so you aren't going to sit there and pretend this is just about a virus.

I have asthma and have been wearing a shield instead, but I find those also make it hard to breathe. How can I claim religious exemption? On what grounds?
