Many commercial cleaning companies in Latin America actually promote the usage of such fizzy soft drinks for such purposes, in their induction and training courses for new employees. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14940953 we HATED her for it! at Halloween parties at the church, we had to sit down and let the OTHER Kids catch the candy thrown over the balcony. we were not allowed soda unless it was a special event at someones house. to this day, im 50 in December) i do not drink the sodas. ive seen people literally addicted to them and shaking and headaches and sweating until they got their drink. sodas do NOT refresh me, they dont quench my thirst either. so my own children were not given sodas but i did not buy it for them. they drank it at school, friends houses... they even had candy and sweets.i bought those. i do have to THANK my mother for that one thing, not allowing us to become soda drinkers. it was one of the best things she ever did. We all grew up on soda. Some kids had milk and cookies. We had soda and candy bars. All of us said goodbye to our teeth fairly young but we have a lot of English blood in us, so they probably would have rotted out regardless. LOVE ICE CREAM, Utz Potato Chips, all the junk (did I mention Little Debbies?) food you can think of. I'm over 70. Have had a happy healthy life. (maybe good genes?) Still in good health and still eating all the stuff that's SUPPOSED to be bad for you. Granted I could drop dead tomorrow, but if I do, it will be with a smile on my face! Amen brother!! Life is too short to spend worrying about trivial bullshit. Quit following orders of those that "say so." Get out there and do, eat, and drink what makes you feel good. If you are not bothering anyone else, it is nobody's business but your own. |

Would everyone be a little better off if they drank nothing but water? Sure. We would also be Healthier if we ate nothing but greens, legumes, and very lean meat. Better get rid of alcohol, and be sure to exercise at least one full hour per day. Stay out of the sun, don’t lift anything too heavy, and wrap yourself in bubble-wrap if you ever (gasp) do anything risky like walking up stairs. He's done it his entire life and I guarantee he could the average teenagers ass he's so healthy. Anything is bad for you if you abuse it even water. As for the idea that coke and pepsi are used as pesticides, it's true but not for the reasons most would think. Sugar attracts predatory insects like ants which consume the larvae of crop damaging insects. The soda is not applied directly but rather watered down and sprayed out of a bottle by hand. Many claim that the use of soda to attract predatory insects is natural and non toxic so it's a much better choice than chemical pesticides. It has nothing to do with the soda being toxic, it's the exact opposite. |
