Preferably to power appliances like ACs, refrigerators, and other things like this. Thanks i got some rich solar panels because they were only 1/8" thick, 100w panels i think monocrystalline, cant remember. if you are just doing an offgrid system with batteries like a few AGM small type setup just read up and be safe - oversize wires, fused, breakers, labels, fire extinguisher. if you are doing a grid tied system, AKA a serious system, you may want to get a specialist involved to do it legally and properly. |

Instead spend 2gs on a 100 gal fuel tank and a used 3000 or 4500 watt inverter that will be quiet enough. And it will be all weather dependable. Just my 2 cents, been there done that. 👍 Quoting: Goatgod Goatgod? Is this why you're not a big fan of solar energy Pagans want us to worship nature and not utilize it to our benefit |

Didn't add all the extras and have a system that will keep my fridge going. The only way to do it right is to put the components together separately. Panels, charge controller and batteries. You only need an inverter if you are going to run 120v AC power appliances on it but you will lose about 30% efficiency if you do that rather than running DC appliances, lights etc. You are not going to run an AC unit without around 8 grand worth of shit. Buy an old swamp cooler for $150 and swap the fan out with 12v car radiator fans and a 12v bilge pump from walmart. |

Is this why you're not a big fan of solar energy Pagans want us to worship nature and not utilize it to our benefit I love solar its just not within the price range of most people yet. There are some marketing strategies with portable solar generators going on that may oversell their capabilities. considering rain days, you need to oversize your charging and storage capabilities more than most people realize. just sayin. for me gas powering a quiet gen and keeping a lot of fuel on hand has worked out way better. |

User ID: 77458036 United States 08/12/2020 12:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I’m building one right now. The portable ones are crap and overpriced and won’t do much to run appliances. I bought a 3000w pure sine wave inverter (approx $300) it surges to 5000w. I bought a 60amp charge controller on eBay ($20), 4 x 100w Ecoworthy panels (made in Canada about $80 each shipper) and 2 x 100ah AGM sealed lead acid batteries ($170 each). Total system capacity is 2400 watt hours), but the 4 panels can charge the batteries in 4 hours. You also need a bunch of various cables and connectors.. I wanted to make the batteries and inverter mobile, but the batteries weigh 60 lbs each. You can get a 5kw inverter on eBay for 600. I’m in about $1000, but it is double the capacity of a 1200w Solar power generator for $400 less and also includes the solar panels. Message me if you have any questions Pickle Rick |

Preferably to power appliances like ACs, refrigerators, and other things like this. Thanks I bought this in February with 3 solar panels. [link to inergytek.com (secure)] It should be able to run refrigerator for few hours, etc, but I haven't tested it out, using it to run my alarm system right now. Last time I checked, their entire commitment for 2020 was already sold out. . . |

All that part is free and you can pick it up at their warehouse in so cal and pay cash no problem. If you want to get help with setup, they have a guy he can bring on the line for $130 an hour who is an expert with setting up etc. Tell him you saw the name of the company on a google search and followed it to the number above...don't tell him you got it from a conspiracy site...duh. |
