That film is a classic and widely regarded as one of best science fiction movies of all time. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77758415 You probably though Muppets On Crack (aka Star Wars) was good, too. You must be some sort of child. You seem to have no comprehension of how much creativity and vision of countless craftsman it takes to conceive and produce these ground breaking kinds of artistic creations. What kind of brat could just take a dump on these works that influenced so many and transformed the entire landscape of cinema. I can't even listen to whatever pablum you dribble out as some sort of analysis. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78069418 [link to youtube.com (secure)] This movie is from 1982! The movie is really crappy, but the plot centers around genetically modified humans with an artificially shortened lifespan of 4 years, artificially implanted memories, and a modified emotional state. They are bred as slaves for off-world labor. It takes place in November 2019. Event 201 was in October 2019, and COVID-19 was officially identified in December 2019. They've been planning this for decades, and I'm guessing that the vaccine they want people to take will erase their memories, destroy their emotions, shorten their lifespans, and make them easily enslaved. There were also a lot of Asians in the movie, even though it takes place in Los Angeles. I know LA has every race and a lot of people, but COVID-19 officially originated from China. I'm rather tired of the conspiring asshats. "The movie is really crappy". What? You're kidding, right? Ridley Scott's Blade Runner was a visionary movie that has inspired basically every portrayal of a large city of the future in cinema since its release in 1982. I can't even list all of the movies and director's that state Blade Runner was their inspiration to either make movies, or influenced the visual design of their movie. Do just a little research before you post, good sir. |

Try to write a story, compose a soundtrack, produce some output of your own, perform a scene, delve into the creative process and then you can appreciate all it took for previous generations with far less tech at their fingertips to convey meaning to other human beings. Then you might appreciate all the incredible genius that other generations produced and passed down for us. And you won't come off like a ridiculous tool. |

Every era has quality productions if you are able to appreciate the basics of creativity and storytelling. Heck, good old fashioned literature is amazing if you want to expand your mind and learn about your world. Bladerunner is actually based on a short story by the writer Philip K. Dick who was brilliant and hugely influential and many of his stories were adapted into films. |
