WTH is going on with service providers refusing to cancel subscriptions upon customer request to do so?
About a month ago, I cancelled a cable internet subscription and cancelled a SiriusXM subscription today. Both were a major hassle to cancel. Today, I asked four reps to cancel before it was finally done. The cable company refused to cancel my subscription unless I told them if I was moving. I'm not giving that information to anyone I don't know for obvious security reasons.

These companies are doing all they can to retain their customers now to the point of refusing to let them cancel unless you put up a HUGE ARGUMENT and threaten to go to regulatory agencies.

I just reached out to the state Consumer Affairs division and will be contacting the FCC and Division of Banking next, probably.

The SiriusXM rep trying to keep me signed up and I kept saying no, just cancel me. Eventually, they said they did, but they had not, and another rep said the previous rep didn't enter any notes at all. LOL, another rep just texted me with the subscriber information form after I was canceled and I responded with "Are you Sirius?" lol.

Anyone else having issues like these?

If so, what regulatory authorities can give them a big 'ol spanking that hits their wallets hard?
