USA: 600 dollars a week unemployment benefits expire, and 20 million out of work ... | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 62812285 United States 07/31/2020 09:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: BRIEF Do you believe it's a sin to be irresponsible? It's not a commandment, but I believe it is... Greed and selfishness is about the only reason people are not prepared... Those that didn't have time to prepare, because they just moved out, or what have you, will be the true victims... not good indeed ... this is one of the badest years for the us in decades really... fingers crossed for times to come. How many blew the money on fun things instead of saving as much of it as possible for when this panic ends, especially if they had lost their job because of this false pandemic? We been penny pinching here like crazy, i received one $1,200 check, that was for me as a single father that has custody of his 2 daughters. I am almost out of money now with my business screeching to a halt because nobody is spending money on hobbies or arts. Having said that, with the way things are going in the world right now? I have no problems doing fun things with my kids, especially right now when the future is not guaranteed. Thats who i really for sorry for the most, is the kids living through this shit. Also dont forget the reason we are here right now, it's not because the people shut down the country. Everyone should get an equal amount for all the shit the government has put us through. I do believe it's worse for some people in certain areas and the places where its not that bad, the people dont have to live like the others that are experiencing tyranny in their states. Certain areas are feeling it much more than others. Why don't you apply for unemployment? You are eligible from what it sounds like. Self employed and lost income, you can get up to 20k going back to Feb 2. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 75950891 United States 07/31/2020 09:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My guess is February for housing market doom. In Georgia, it takes 120 days of missed payments before the company can start proceedings. Then notice has to go out on a tuesday, which can delay it up to 6 days, then it takes 1-3 months depending on the jurisdiction. Quoting: Duke_Henry_the_Red I'd say we are at least 120 days away from the start of a bunch of unwilling houses on the market. It all goes Doomsday in November of 2020. |

They better keep giving it to taxpayers until they open up fully and people can get back on their feet. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77710620 Riot is a mild word for what will happen. I could understand it if they had been hardliners all along the way- cutting out money to other nations, refusing money to bail out banks and corporations, etc., but all that is easily pushed through and we are into the trillions in debt- and they want to make the most vulnerable suffer. At least these people DID recently work. The welfare class will continue to get their cut too- and be assured of a section 8 roof over their heads. |

Many very poor rural areas while the employers live in gated mansions. |

"I think probably trying to resolve the enhanced unemployment issue, obviously," Meadows said, when asked about the goal for the meeting. "And so we want to go ahead and ... address the eviction provisions that hopefully will keep people from being evicted from the homes, at least through the end of the year, on both of those things." Trump homed in on evictions while speaking from the White House saying that, "we’re asking Democrats to work with us to find a solution that will temporarily stop evictions." But any attempt to get a short-term or pared-down bill was all but guaranteed to be rejected by Pelosi and Schumer, who have remained united during the days-long talks. Democrats have repeatedly said they do not want a short-term deal or a smaller bill. " |
