11am EST update remains mostly unchanged. 80 mph and 987 mb's. Movement is still NW and not NNW @ 10-12 mph. Isaias has slightly weakened and slightly strengthened the last two days. Should have named this one Eddy, as in Steady Eddy.  Florida still very much in play. Next update in 2.5 hours. OTOH, this: "Isaias's low-lvl center is now completely exposed near the western tip of Andros Isl. in the Bahamas. Strong shear, dry air, & weakened sfc heat fluxes immediately adjacent to the circulation over the island are taking their toll on #Isaias, & it's likely not a hurricane atm." [ link to twitter.com (secure)] Still a hurricane but barely.. 2pm EST update - Isaias downgraded to 75 mph winds and 990 mb's. Shear and dry air is the cause, but Isaias might fight through it as it approaches the coast later tonight and a possible regrouping.
