Downgraded to a tropical storm as of 8pm.
~65 mph top winds around the eye.
Just a standard summer thunderstorm in Florida.
Quoting: Callen Could very well be 'just' another bad thunderstorm for Florida. We'll know in about 12-15 hours. Carolina's and up the I-95 into New England and even Maine could be worse. What I find interesting about Florida is the track is right over Cape Canaveral. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78689367 Great tune. And this is basically a nothingburger considering some of the baddies they have had looming in the past few years. Quoting: LaGata Agree. This is an awkward storm, low-level center is like invisible on satellite, but it could spin all the way to Maine. Water off so. FL is like 85, 86 degrees. Isaias is only moving 9 mph which will linger any rain - likely to pick up steam when it clears dry air and shear. Most of the convection is north and east which is good if it stays off the coast in Florida. It's the 9th storm already and the earliest on record for #10 is something like Aug. 22nd. There are 2 possibilities in the Atlantic now.
