Killer cop was part of a counterfeit laundering operation at the sleazy strip club where he moonlighted with Floyd. Somehow Floyd got his hands on some phony $20 and went and spent them and got a warrant out on his ass. The two first cops located Floyd and called the killer cop (per his request) to let him know they found him and the rest is history. The laundering cartel couldn't have old George telling them where he got the bogus bills. So similar to Ozarks on Netflix...
