Because the average sheep posting on Tok Tic is holding so very many special and important secrets.
Oh, and their personal data? That is key to stuff like "the little red button." If it was compromised: one can only imagine the disastrous outcomes. What if those gym locker codes were distributed?
Or if the Taco Bell's sauce knockoff formulations people have worked so hard to get right got into the wrong hands?
Thank God they are putting a stop to this kind of reckless madness endangering our citizenry!!

Maybe the post a private video to someone. Get blackmailed. China can't be trusted with privacy and shouldn't be in a position to potentially blackmail US citizens. People in government positions? You think they plan to post a tik tok of them entering codes to launch missiles, access computer databases, etc? Think about this for one hot second. People are fired for so much as implying that "all lives matter." You think anything other than scrolling and laughing at videos is going to be tolerated for employees working at a politically-correct company/government entity? Believe me, I am a crazy-ass prepper, pro-gun, pro-death penalty, etc. etc. and am aware of and concerned about plenty of conspiracy theories. But I draw the line at full-blown paranoia.
