Because of this new "war" a military joint will be in charge of the country (pelosi and cronies will be eliminated) under the supervision of the new government (Trump in hiding maybe or his peeps) and the first thing they'll do is establish martial law, get rid of all protesters (killed or disappeared, like in Hong Kong), reinstate law and order while we deal with the new threat and try to unify the country based on a common enemy. Most peaceful ppl will support the new Republic as everybody will be in massive shock after the attack and were already tired of so much civil unrest and mayhem. That's why they are allowing the destruction to continue in Portland and so many other cities, to show the populace how bad it can be and make them want and support a savior.

I would say we are there kinda. As of right now, the US death toll from Covid-19 is 156k. The 9/11 death toll was 2997. So 156000 divided by 2997 = 52.05205205.
