Back long ago, radar detector saved me a trick to jail. Doing over 3 digits in a 35 when it went off. Got down to 69 before he locked me. Pulled over next to him (knew I was busted and he did not have to move) stuffed the detector under the seat, and had license ready at the window. He told me one mph faster and he was taking me for reckless driving. Ended up in a one day traffic course, and paid dearly for insurance for years. Hot rodding days were fun, but expensive. Now, I am in no hurry to go anywhere.
