It's still looking like a CAT1 storm (80-85mph winds), which really won't mean much to us if it stays at that strength.

We'll get some 40-60mph wind gusts and rain for the most part, which is not much worse than our typical summer thunderstorms. We regularly get T-storms with 30-40 mph wind gusts that drop 2-4 inches of rain during the summer months.

Homes in this part of Florida are all made from concrete block or poured concrete, and most homes have hurricane shutters or hurricane impact windows.

You won't see many people taking a storm seriously unless the winds get above 115 mph or if they live on the A1A corridor barrier island.

In my neighborhood zero people have even put up their shutters.

Let's hope it stays at the same strength.
