"I can't wait for judgement day." This is not a Christlike view. We shouldn't gloat when the wicked are punished. It's not our place to do so. And I take a less dim view, that Christ will draw all men to himself. Mercy triumphs over judgment. Perhaps I said it in words that weren't the best, and it's hard to read 'tone' on a post or text. However it is true - I can't wait for Judgement Day. Not that I myself am anything. I am nothing but a sinner who has accepted Jesus. It is GOD's mercy and grace that I appeal to. On Judgement Day the believers will be rewarded for their faith. Why shouldn't I be anxious for it? Evil will be destroyed. Again - another positive. I am not 'gloating' over anyone. Yes absolutely! I have to guard my heart just the same, it's hard not to wish suffering on evil people of the world. It's natural to want them to suffer for how they have made others suffer. I'm trying to figure out how, actually, we are supposed to love our enemies. Not sure really how to do that, other than perhaps to pray that they come to an understanding of repentance and truth. |
