By the same token, all of the institutionalized religions are fronts for the political authorities of the countries they are embedded in.

No one controls your mind. Christians are supposed to want to change and become better people. Christians established most of the best schools in this country so that everyone could learn to read and get an education. Freedom is a central God-given right.

When you ditch God bad things tend to happen. Pagan societies often devolved into tyrannical systems of control accompanied by human sacrifices and cannibalism. No one dared look at Montezuma and the local tribes hated the Aztecs so much they helped Cortes with thousands of men and supplies. Tales of Native Indian cruelty to each other in N. America were not much better. The indians who helped the US cavalry win the West were often half-breeds and outcasts from the dominant tribes.

The system we have now is as good as it will get given our propensity to corrupt every system.

The type of Christianity the Romans began was a polluted form. Not first century Christianity. It was a merger of pagan beliefs and Christian beliefs. Actually it was a pagan religion with a Christian veneer. Hence we now have Pagan celebrations such as Christmas and Easter. And of course many Christians not following Jesus command to love.

Yes Jesus did command his followers to worship together. Hebrews 10:24-25 Like sharpen like. He wants his followers to help one another. To strengthen one another. People of a feather do flock together.

And to understand that they are sinners also in need of God’s love and Jesus sacrifice. We are all a big mess living in a world run by Satan who hates us.

On the contrary, God's Word SETS YOU FREE! You might know this if you have ever read it. Don't let others convince you that it is a "book of fairy tales".
