EBT is a joke. It really is. I did some research on it because of all the hype about anyone being able to get lobsters and tbone steaks and live like a king and I found the opposite. Some get $10 dollars which is enough for a few loaves of bread and salami. |

Quoting: Crazy Horse The Prophet 24773404 Laughable, you know that 7 years old kid is right. And you must be 6 years old then?. Trump took the bait purposefully.. [link to i.imgur.com (secure)] Right about what? You said nothing in your post. Go sip your tea. With truth and wisdom that you arrogantly refused to understand. And thank you for the cuppa.. flothy coffee. Trump sold out humanity when he agreed to be the fall guy. This happened in the 90s when 20 big banks bailed him out for no apparent reason, with nearly 1 billion dollars in loans which placed the trump enterprise in the control of the banks. He made good Scripted speeches that he read From a teleprompter. Even I believed him and spent a year and several hundred dollars backing him up. A week after the election, “lock her up” was replaced by “the Clintons are good people.” That statement alone was all that I needed to hear to realize Trump is Benedict Arnold, at the mercy of living like a king. Love of money is the root of all evil. Trump is a weak link, a shallow braggart who has left dead bodies in his path. |

Quoting: King Triad I agree, the "Great Depression" on steroids. Not even close. People actually starved to death back then. Govco will give you an EBT card. You can make $700/month selling plasma (more if you have had Covid), unemployment, etc. Safety nets exist now. They didn’t 100 years ago. Most of the population lives in urban areas. Prior to 1940s, most lived in rural areas. No fast food dollar menus, no dollar stores. The dustbowl farmers had it really rough. Read The Worst Hard Time. It was also a PBS show if you don’t like books. If you don’t believe me, take a look at all of the fat people in your area. The dustbowl was hyped to distract from the fact bankers seized farmland over debts. Too many people literally "bet the farm" to gamble in the stock market, and then lost everything in the 1929 crash but still owed those debts. That is where the term comes from. Nowadays people do the same thing with HELOCs. Also, the government is out of money. There isn't an endless amount for both the banks and pensions about to go under, and the Welfare state. The cities will be allowed to fall to ruin. Then Google/Apple can rebuild those key strategic areas as "Smart Cities". Once the land near the ports is cheap enough, and all those remaining historic buildings turned to rubble. If you are in a city without a major port or railway junction or airport you might be okay or you're not on the main Mexico-to-Canada corridor. These ACs get it, read and learn: alienated families, stratified population, in debt up to their eyeballs, reliant on pills and potions, addicted to drugs and drinks, with effeminate or infiltrated churches and "pastors" that seemingly stand for nothing and act as some type of guardian for the status quo, masses of sheep that can't turn off the idiot box - that are willing to wear symbols of submission because they are rootless cosmopolitans that believe in absolutely nothing absolutely.
