The Heat is on.. again
Europe is baking. In my city in Arizona, July will most certainly be a record-breaker.

July 2019 globally was a ball buster, baby powder duster.

No. Deserts in the winter can be bone-chilling. Changes are underway. Summer is expanding, and the nights are not cooling like they used to. We'll likely set a minimum high temp record for July.

The last 2 years have been nonsoons, instead of monsoons.
We expect to get hefty haboobs soon due to bone-dry ground conditions.

121 @ Lake Havasu City on the day my city hit 118 earlier this week. Those are typically June temps...most of July has been June temps here.

We had a stretch of 17 days in July where only 2 days were under 110...and those days were 109. The end of the month was brutal and we are still under a heat advisory/warning through tomorrow night - a stretch of about 7 days that had to average 110-112.

The Heat is most def ON!!

Dry air and shearing can't kill a tropical storm on a warming planet the way it used to.

July saw a 15-day stretch of 110+ and then now a 21-day stretch of 110+ days, ending aug 17th, with about 5 of those days out of 36 being 109 or 108. One weeks time between the two HOT stretches.

This isn't normal by any means. The Heat is On here.

"Much of Canada’s remaining intact ice shelf has broken apart into hulking iceberg islands thanks to a hot summer and global warming, scientists said.

Canada’s 4,000-year-old Milne Ice Shelf on the northwestern edge of Ellesmere Island had been the country’s last intact ice shelf until the end of July when ice analyst Adrienne White of the Canadian Ice Service noticed that satellite photos showed that about 43% of it had broken off. She said it happened around July 30 or 31."

Further evidence for a warming planet.

I do not agree with the idea that climate change is a product of man. Those who believe that simply haven't done enough research. The largest factor is our core is heating causing oceans to warm - nothing man did or can combat to change our current course in history.

This video suggests the Thwaites Glacier, in West Antarctica will collapse in ~100 years. Nope. It will happen much faster.

Valley of the Sun forecast temperatures for the next 10 days.

111, 113, 116, 115, 115, 116, 114, 116, 113, 111

July was 4/5ths 110+
August so far is 110+ and forecasted to be so through the 26th.

No rain to speak of this nonsoon season.

Just unrelenting baking.
