If you owe no money to anyone you can live like a king off $1600 a month. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79172879 Where do you live Alabama? Average rent in a normal state is well over 1500 a month for one bedroom. That is either in a city or near it. In smaller towns you can have a house for that. And a pool with it. |

Well yeah but for the average person that’s not feasible unless you’re 50-60 years old. You either have mortgage or rent. |

And fun doesn’t have to cost much. I go to the local stream and go swimming. Read books from the library. Go outside and get some sun everyday. Go for a walk in the park. Listen to the crickets at night and watch the fireflies. Food is cheap. Especially if you don’t eat much. As we get older we really don’t need a lot of food. Clothes are cheap from thrift stores and who needs a lot of them? And a small home is good. Let go best and cool. And less to clean. |

I moved away from the cities and am much happier. I can actually live on minimum wage if I had to. |

When my industry has a 90% layoff rate with many jobs never coming back what are we supposed to do? Quoting: KimJungUn Get a different job. Use whatever skill set you have to be an indeoendent contractr; offer your services at a flat rate or a per diem (hourly/daily) rate. There are options for everyone if you CHOOSE to develop them. Sadly, most Americans want someone else to do the thinking for them, and they'd sit on their asses and starve before taking any effort on their own. Sound familiar? |

Wife and I live comfortable, not GREAT, but we aren't starving or unable to pay our rent. I believe in science NOT religion. Giving me bad karma for that, is anti-religious (you're passing judgement) I am just a man. Of no significance. Who found religion to be full of lies, and wrong doing, conflicted teachings I understand microwave communications. I do not stand for the NWO, it sucks. |

You ain't special, flip burgers or fold tacos for 50-60 hours a week or lose your shit. I can't wait to be buying all the nice toys for pennies on the dollar you bought with your extra UI instead of saving for your rent and bills. $2000 mortgage, $70,000 truck, $1200 Iphone you bought beyond your means and now your screwed, no sympathy from me. |
