I only see two possibilities.

This guy is an idiot.

His ex-GF is smart.

1: She wanted to do prank on you after all these years, for whatever to see you bumbling along reporting it forward making an idiot of yourself as she & friends laughs.

2: If she really works in a high position.
She might have made the call & report as a dissemination of false information for whatever cause. Knowing you well they wanted this Meteor theory out there in the conspiracy sites. It's been quite well spread at the moment on this site about asteroids to be expected. I see it as a disinformation campaign to cover over more real to earth happenings.
Keep you looking elsewhere to something you can do nothing about, keeping you passive. They are doing everything possible here on earth at the moment pushing plans & projects. They do not want to you to react or do anything!

Everything has been about PASSIVITY & taking no action! They want you to do nothing as they work on their own plans!

Anything "Natural" pacifies you to do nothing! Make no plans or preparations or bother looking into things at all!
