The whole point is that he couldn't see the saucer unless he was looking through the shard. Late reply to this and you are correct...I missed that critical part...well, I missed all of them. Terribly distracted with work, but thank you for pointing that out. Re-watched and now somewhat mystified. All videos on this channel Space ru are purely entertaining and have nothing to do with the real world, all the effects are created in special programs.
