Okay, this is strange, but I just heard from my second cousin's former roommate's brother's ex, who also happened to be my uncle's sister-in-law's former babysitter's adopted niece's best friend. She (or he, I'm lost) somehow heard about GLP after mistyping a URL, and recognized my avatar's picture. She/He (again, I've lost track) whose name is Pat, is in the Space Force and confirms there ARE aliens heading here, arrival in a few days.

BUT she/he says they're not coming for invasion or a meal, but for DIRECTIONS.

Apparently, they're on their way to another system, but got lost a couple months ago. The Captain's "wife" (their genders are even more complicated than ours) wanted to stop at an inhabited planet 10 light years away, but the Captain "always knows where he is, and doesn't EVER feel the need to ask directions,"so he didn't.

So, he's finally been convinced to stop and ask. Hopefully, our best and brightest scientists will know the way to the system they're looking for.

But that's all. Aliens inbound, but just for directions.
