No. You do realize that the ascent stage engine is blasting the descent stage left behind on the moon, not the moon's surface right? there's also no air on the moon to cause billowing of the dust like you see in the video taken on Earth of the starship prototype.

No they decided to proceed with starship instead. They were originally going to certify the dragon to fly on Falcon Heavy in order to propel it around the moon but those plants have been shelved for now while they focus all of their energy on developing starship which will be capable of flying far more people around the moon at once. In fact the plan has evolved to now fly those passengers on a flight funded by a Japanese billionaire.

Awesome vid and yea looked like a leak. I was half expecting a backfire and whole tank going up. If it can do that on one engine, three might be overkill, although their starship is quite massive.

Well, they were able to test the flight control system's ability to land with off-center thrust, they were able to get another flight test of the new Raptor engine, they were able to test the structure of SN5, they were able to test their new landing leg design for the prototypes, and I'm sure they had lots of other test objectives as well. Have to learn to walk before you can run.
