If you look at the underbodies of those vehicles there’s no drive lines, they are just props.

Ammonium Nitrate is high explosive but with combination of diesel fuel, so I don't buy official story.

Still no one cares that the cars are fake?

They’re just props.

No amount of pressure from a bomb blast no matter what your reasoning is, is going to lift a two tonne vehicle and drag it up the side of a roadside barrier.

Those vehicles were placed there...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79228679

Yes, after a massive explosion, special ops have the time to drive through all the wreckage dump cars upside down on the scene to be perfectly framed by some random twitter dude.

You mean the scrap cars?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 50007507

The cars were FWD cars, there is no drive line in those. They did still have their gas tanks which are removed most the time in prop cars in the United States but this was not the U.S. so I doubt that had OSHA regulations to fool with so that is really a moot point. One thing I did notice is the cars still had their catalytic converters which are removed very quickly from scrap cars because of their scrap value.

It's not Ammonium Nitrate...

It's :

3-Hydroxy-1-methyl-5,6-indolinedione + dinitrogen oxide + Dihydrogen oxide in containers from Ukraine.

Re: Something's fishy about the Beirut explosion
I followed the main pinned thread today, I was on it all day.

There were multiple mentions of a missile or some other type of inbound ordinance that was apparently viewed by a few posters.

They were saying that it was only really visible in the original Twitter footage however after a certain poster enhanced the video they stated that they could easily see and identify a missile type object coming down just prior to the explosion, the original footage was suddenly removed and the entire Twitter feed along with all the comments was deleted.

Now any intel person would assume that there was something in that original video that someone didn’t want us to see.

This is getting very interesting now especially with these fake vehicle props.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79228408

I was one of those posters. I could see inbound ordinance in the video, but it was only visible in the video that was taken out on the water. The otger angles I looked at I couldn't see it.

LOL, "fake cars" and "explosion couldn't move something as heavy as a car or truck"

 Quoting: Philly Special

So, back in a day, in 1998-99 in Russia there was a set of explosions allegedly set by Chechen rebels. They were mostly targeting 8+ floors multi-apartment buildings and were successful with destroying the building. Typically using hexagen(RDX) and usually loading RDX in the buildings basement.

Once case was when they left a truck loaded with explosives near a building. The result was concrete panels blown off the building, that was actually supposed to stand nuclear blast, lol. The car motor flew 100 yards away, I don't remember if there were any cars near-by, but they were probably affected as well. Some people were injured(duh) and I do not remember how many were dead, but definitely much less then in other explosions when rebels were able to get access a building's basement.

Yep, of course video is scrubbed now.

12:45 GMT - Lebanon's cabinet to place port officials under house arrest: government source

The Lebanese cabinet has decided to place port officials under house arrest until investigations determine who is responsible for the blast, a governmental source told Al Jazeera following an emergency session.

An official announcement is expected to be made shortly.

It was not clear how many officials would be included or their seniority level. According to Rers nws agency, the army will oversee the house arrest of the officials who have overseen storage and security since 2014.

2700 tons of explosive just left in dock? I have no doubt that is what it is... How those explosives were detonated is another matter though.... My first instinct was someone sent a few shipping containers packed with explosive but a shipping container only has a 30 ton capacity. Welding a door shut on explosives that have been stored there for years to stop theft..... Sure.

Here is the 1988 ammonium perchlorate explosion at PEPCON in Henderson, NV. If there had been more buildings around it, the same thing would have happened that took place in Beirut

It's not nuclear.

"Thermobaric weapons are explosives optimised to produce heat and pressure effects instead of armour-penetrating or fragmentation damage effects."
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 50890261

Agreed.

If it was a nuke the light produced by the explosion would have been MUCH brighter.

A thermobaric device would have created a temporary suction effect.
