Microsoft just went to Trump because Tik Tok, in it's present form, is still a security risk, and they don't want to be banned, too, after they purchase it. In effect, they are saying, "Hey Trump, if we buy this, we'll make it safe, *wink*wink* so are you going to ban us if we buy it?" ...because if Microsoft buys it, it goes straight into the Deep State's hands.

There is no comment in this article that says that Trump is helping Tik Tok negotiate, nor is he helping them them buy it in any way, shape or form.
