| Anonymous Coward User ID: 79227081 United States08/05/2020 02:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | there is one issue here there are vids of ammonium nitrate explosions. none of them have that column of red smoke it is very likely it is nitrous DI oxide. but ammonium nitrate does not combust to nitrous dioxide, it combusts to nitrous MONOXIDE, which is colorless maybe there was a violent oxiding agent added to this ammonium nitrate, to make it a high explosive. clearly no red smoke in ANY of these other ammonium nitrate explosions. nor should there be. nitrogen tri-iodide but if there actually was a warehouse full of fireworks there for some bizarre reason i guess that's where the colors come from |

There is a close up video on another thread of firworks going off, a fire created and then the two huge explosions. The first explosion was the fireworks factory at the port, then the ammonium nitrate storage blew up so we wait for the verdict from the lebanese gov't itself in the weeks and months ahead.
