Does that mean that we should freak out the same way people did 500 years ago when there are actual treatments? Of course not. And then she only had 5 children. and lived to be 94. eating high fat pork foods. with one lung and an enlarged heart.

My mother had it when she was 2 years old. Really high fever for 7 days and they you died or got better. The fever did cause some long term side effects. No strength in her hand grip, really sensitive to drugs, a child's does was an adult dose (and then some) and the occasional hysterical fit.
