France says 90% of adults need to be vaccinated to ward off a fresh surge of infections.

Putting France aside for a moment. Even if the vaccine could help to cut infections substantially (and I highly doubt it will), could you ever even imagine as many as 90% of adults taking the vaccine in the U.S. ? It's pipe dream stuff...

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has backed the Czech Republic in its requirement for mandatory pre-school vaccinations.

This ruling is related to cases which were brought forward before the pandemic, but it's almost certain it will apply to the corona vax once the vax inevitibly gets approved for kids of all ages later this year...

It'a a ruling from one of the highest courts in the European Union too, which means under EU law all EU countries would have to abide by that...

SNG001 reduced the risk of developing severe disease or dying by 79%.

From what I understand, Brazil is using Sinovac (the Chinese vaccine) along with some Pfizer (I think)...and, the vaccines are increasingly showing not to work against P1, so I think we are in for a rough time coming up.

This is where I get frustrated with the terms banished and prevents severe disease.

These terms are useless. Sure. Again. It blocks reproduction in certain cells. But not all.

And sure, whoopi fucking doo dah.... no upfront death. These folks are unfortunately not out of the woods. The other threats aren’t vanquished just because the virus didn’t go KungFu on their asses.

Glad you brought this up, tis important. The Epstein-Barr virus can be dormant in the body without people ever knowing they have it... but there is an elevated risk of the EBV becoming activated as a result of a sarscov2 infection. Yet another reason why people should do their utmost to avoid getting this coronavirus.
