I am waiting for the numbers here to do the same. Ice and snow storms shit us down for almost two weeks. Today it is a gorgeous sunny day and 73 degrees--23 degrees for y'all weirdos ;)--with snow on the ground. Anyway, everyone is out and about. I went to a plant nursery today and it was packed and only about 1/2 were wearing masks. About 75 people (I stuck to the outside displays).

I think part of the reason for the change in behavior is that people are scheduling vaccine appointments and now that we are moving to the 2a column of eligibility, they figure they will be safe in time for summer.

I stocked up in Jack Daniels and popcorn to watch the shit show.

The Tennessee Department of Health released findings of its investigation Tuesday afternoon, saying it found:

● Seven incidents of vaccine waste amounting to more than 2,400 wasted doses
● 51,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine in inventory. This amounts to an excess of about 30,000
doses. The goal is to administer the vaccine within seven to 10 days of receipt.
● Lack of standard operating procedures for storage and handling of the vaccine
● Insufficient record keeping
● No formal process for management of soon-to-expire vaccine doses
